Being the son of popular lyricist Javed Akhtar, Farhan too has been a part of the musical world with Farhan Live. Two years back, Saif Ali Khan was arrested by the Mumbai police for assaulting a South African citizen of Indian origin named Iqbal Sharma at Taj Hotel. And now, charges have been pressed against Saif in this case under IPC Section 325 which is voluntarily causing grievous hurt and 34 which is acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention.
In 2012, Saif who had been at the Wasabi restaurant in Taj Hotel with his then girlfriend Kareena Kapoor and friends Malaika Arora Khan, Amrita Arora and others was accused of breaking businessman Iqbal's nose and assaulting his father-in-law. Along with him, others alleged in this case included Shakeel Ladak (husband of Amrita Arora) and his friend Bilal Amrohi. While Iqbal maintained that he got into an argument with Saif after they refused to mellow down their on-going party, Saif in a statement to the media claimed that he was assaulted by the NRI businessman and he got into the brawl because Iqbal abused the ladies in his group.
Post two years, the Khan's case has resurfaced and the hearing on this is said to commence from April 30.

However, recently director Vikramaditya revealed that Imran wouldn't be a part of the film and that he is currently re-working on the script. The film was initially scheduled to go on floor in the month of February. Details about the new lead actor are awaited.

We very frequently hear actors claim how shooting for a film or a serial transforms a unit into a family.
But how many actors actually get down to treating their unit as family beyond the routine lip-service?
India's highest-paid television actor Ronit Roy has a heart to match his bank balance. One heard he regularly looks after all the co-workers and fellow-actors in the long-running serial Adaalat in which he plays the legal-eagle hero.
One was moved to tears to hear that recently Ronit bought shoes for all the unit hand who couldn't afford formal footwear.
When contacted Ronit seemed embarrassed to talk about his largess. "Please don't make me sound like Bill Gates. It was a very small gesture. And one that we should not even discuss."
When coaxed Ronit confessed, "It happened quite spontaneously. I had been noticing a lot of the unit workers in rubber slippers. I told them they can't come to work so informally dressed. It was then that I got to know some of them couldn't afford shoes. So I bought shoes for all of them."
Ronit also lets out that this is not the first occasion when he has played Santa on the Adaalat sets. "When you are working with the same group of people for three and a half years you're bound to feel attached to them. To me the cast and crew of Adaalat are family. Their needs are as important to me as the needs of my family at home."
It looks like Ronit's Adaalat family is going to be with him for a lot longer. The show's popularity shows no sign of waning.
In fact Ronit reveals that now Adaalat would be telecast three times every week instead of two times a week.
The last time when one heard of Vishal Mahadkar was when he had made Blood Money, which starred Kunal Khemu and Amrita Puri. This time round, the man is back with a horror thriller titled 3 AM.
Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, the boyish director said, "3 AM is one man's quest to find the existence of ghosts in today's world. The film will be having three music composers, viz., Pranay Vijaya, Rajat Manan and the Pakistani band Raeth." When asked about the starcast, he replied, "The film stars Ranvijay Singh and debutante Anandita Nayar as the lead."He added that, "While the film is being produced by Essel Vision and Handprint Pictures, it's being readied for a September release"
After writer-director Rumi Jaffrey made an exit from the ambitious Shaukeen remake, the film's female lead Nargis Fakhri too has opted out of the film.
Co-producer Murad Khetani stated that they had a long outdoor schedule in Mauritius which starts from April 20, and Nargis had to give away the dates from April 20-27 for her Hollywood project. Though they obliged, the shoot of her Hollywood film was later extended for a couple of days more and the actress ultimately had to give Shaukeen remake a skip since the delay would have affected the jam packed shoot schedule of actors like Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher, Annu Kapoor and Piyush Mishra. Nargis too expressed her unhappiness over quitting the remake of this cult as she too was excited to work with a director like Abhishek Sharma.
The shoot of Shaukeen remake will complete in June and the film is slated to release by the end of this year.
Towards the end of 2013, we had reported that Farhan Akhtar would soon be seen opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the film Raees. However, now we hear that Farhan has opted out of the film.
Apparently, the actor walked out of the film due to date issues, since the shoot of Raees would clash with Farhan's dates that have been allocated to Bejoy Nambiar's film. However, as reported earlier, Farhan will still be involved in the film as a producer, since Raees will be produced by Excel Entertainment.
Directed by Rahul Dholakia, Raees will feature Shah Rukh playing a Gujarati character, and is slated to go on floor in mid-2014 and will hit screens on Eid 2015.
